About the project

A private spa complex for a residence in the spirit of restrained Alpine luxe. “Larice” means larch — warm wood, natural stone and soft daylight gathered into a quiet ritual of rest.

A two-level indoor pool clad in book-matched natural stone slabs, with soft turquoise-green water; rows of fluted walnut screen-columns and a slatted wood ceiling; honed stone walls and a live fire. A full bathing circuit: hammam, Finnish sauna, Russian banya, a zone of showers and a plunge pool, a massage room, a spa bar, a gym and a relaxation lounge. Here luxury is not glare but the quality of material: wood, stone, linen, water and light.

01 — Wood and water

The indoor pool of the residence

Here luxury is not glare but the quality of material: a two-level pool of book-matched natural stone slabs with soft turquoise-green water, fluted walnut screen-columns, a slatted wood ceiling and a live fire.

The pool

The two-level basin is clad in book-matched natural stone slabs, and the soft turquoise-green water catches daylight from tall windows. At the far end honed stone with a live fire and loungers, fluted walnut screen-columns rise to the sides, and a slatted wood ceiling runs overhead.

The lounger zone

Loungers on warm stone by the live fire, linen and wool, greenery in stone planters — a quiet resting zone on the upper level, turned to the water.

02 — Material and detail

Walnut, stone, greenery

The luxury reads in the details: fluted walnut screens, a slatted wood ceiling, honed stone and living greenery in stone planters — a warm, tactile matter without a gram of gold.

03 — The bathing circuit

Hammam, sauna, banya, showers

The heart of the spa is a full bathing circuit: a hammam with warm stone, a Finnish walnut sauna, a Russian banya and a shower zone with a plunge pool, tied together by a single warm material.

Warm honed stone, soft diffused light and silence — an Eastern steam room in a restrained, expensive execution.

The Finnish sauna

Walnut, warm light and the laconic geometry of the benches, a panoramic window to nature — dry heat in a calm Alpine shell.

04 — Rest and body

Massage room, spa bar, gym, lounge

A spa is not only water and steam: the massage room, the spa bar, the gym and the relaxation lounge complete the circuit of body care in the same warm Alpine palette.

05 — The golden hour

When the light turns warm

At sunset the spa opens differently: the golden hour floods the water and stone with warm light, the walnut warms, the turquoise softens — the restrained Alpine luxe becomes utterly intimate and enveloping.

From design to a finished interior: an authorial project, working drawings with the engineering of the pool and bathing zones, design supervision and procurement of stone, wood, light and equipment — including Italian factories. It all begins with a mood and a material palette — as in this project.
