Sideboards Kubo

A wooden sideboard on clear glass supports with hinged doors and a central drop-down compartment.

The Kubo Buffet sideboard, by the designer Riccardo Lucatello for the Disegno collection, draws attention with an unusual structural idea. The massive wooden body seems to float in the air thanks to a support of ultra-clear extrachiaro glass, which gives the piece a visual lightness despite its considerable capacity.

The interior is organised for maximum practicality: at the sides there are four hinged doors with internal dividers, and in the centre a section with a drop-down leaf. For the finish of the body the factory offers Canaletto walnut veneer, dark ash, gloss lacquer or glossy ebony.

This sideboard will become the central piece of furnishing in a contemporary dining or living room. Its understated design allows the top surface to be used for table lamps, sculptures or interior accessories, underlining the architectural purity of the space.

Studio noteWe would place it in the dining area opposite the dining table. The transparent base works well in interiors where it is important to keep a feeling of spaciousness.

Why through the studio

01

Selected by the studio

Out of hundreds of Italian factories we work with a few whose quality we have seen in our own houses. You do not compare — you choose.

02

Studio terms

Direct factory conditions instead of showroom retail. The saving on furnishing often covers the interior project.

03

One responsibility

Specification, order, factory control, delivery, customs and assembly on site — the studio, not you.
