Coffee tables Mikado 40
The Mikado 40 coffee table by Reflex, with a crackled glass base, brings movement and a subtle play of light to a living room.
The Mikado 40 coffee table draws attention with the unusual architecture of its base, made of intersecting glass elements. The use of extra-clear (extrachiaro) glass gives the construction a visual weightlessness despite its expressive volume and complex geometry.
The main decorative feature of the model is the craquelé texture of the base elements, which creates a network of fine cracks within the glass. The square or rectangular top is made of clear glass with a polished edge, leaving the sculptural base fully in view.
This table suits contemporary living rooms with plenty of natural light. Sunlight refracted in the many cracks of the craquelé casts painterly highlights on the floor and walls, turning the piece into a dynamic, living element of the daytime area.
