About the project

An interior in a dark, tactile contemporary key. The name means “shadow” — a counterpart to “Ambra” (amber): here the warm glow of glass lives in deep darkness.

01 — Warm light in the dark

The double-height atrium — the heart of the penthouse

Matter instead of shine: an aged “mercury” mirror with a gold-black patina, smoky amber glass, emerald fluted lacquer, brass, dark stone and microcement. A flowering cherry branch and a fiddle-leaf fig bring living breath, while pools of warm light in the darkness turn the space into an atmospheric, almost theatrical stage. A home for those who value character, texture and depth.

The atrium

A double-height volume in dark microcement, a panoramic window onto the city and a wall of aged “mercury” mirror with a gold-black patina. Smoky amber glass spheres hang in a cluster, and a flowering cherry brings living breath into the deep darkness.

The opposite view

From the other side — cognac leather, emerald velvet and brass against dark stone. The warmth of the materials and pinpoint light keep the scene intimate: no shine, but depth and texture.

Lounge and media wall

The heart of the evening is the lounge by the mercury-mirror wall: the texture of aged glass becomes the main “décor”, and light gathers in warm pools.

03 — A house for receptions

Dining room and kitchen

The formal reception zone keeps the same dark palette — stone, brass and smoky glass compose an atmospheric evening scenario.

Hall, bar and cigar room

Separate evening worlds: the hall greets you with dark depth, and the bar-cigar room with its backlit shelves is a place for a late evening among your own.

05 — Private quarters

Bedroom, dressing room, bathroom, study

The private level of the duplex sounds even quieter and deeper: dark matter, warm light and an intimate scale.

06 — Shadow and matter

Evening light and the palette

In the evening the atrium becomes a stage: warm pools of light in the dark, smoky glass, brass and patina — the materials the whole atmosphere of Ombra rests on.
