About the project

The interior of a country mansion in the warm, masculine key of a collector’s house. “Ottone” means brass — the metal that ties everything together here.

01 — Brass ties it all together

A living room of fire and collection

Matter and collection instead of shine: refined narrow hand-laid brick with brass battens, book-matched marble and backlit onyx, burl walnut and patinated bronze. Designer furniture on bronze bases, olive silk velvet and cognac saddle leather, curated art — a museum canvas and a bronze sculpture on a stone plinth. Double-height volumes, black steel windows onto the forest and warm 2700K light turn the house into an atmospheric stage for someone who values character, texture and things with a history.

The formal living room

A book-matched marble fireplace portal against brickwork with brass battens; above it a museum canvas, to the left a bronze sculpture on a stone plinth, to the right a glowing onyx bar. Olive velvet and cognac leather gathered on bronze bases beneath a bronze chandelier.

The opposite view

From the other side, full-height black steel windows open — the forest enters the house. Warm 2700K light models the texture of brick, stone and burl walnut; collection and matter matter more than shine.

02 — Matter and collection

A lounge by the forest

A curved velvet sofa turns to the black windows and the forest; a burl table, cognac armchairs and bronze compose an intimate zone for conversation and a good whisky.

Dining room and kitchen

The formal dining room keeps the same warm palette — backlit onyx, stone and brass compose an atmospheric evening scenario.

04 — Evening worlds

Whisky bar and cigar room

A separate evening world: backlit shelves with a collection, an onyx counter, a burl table and a bronze art-déco chandelier — a place for a late evening among your own.

05 — Private quarters

Bedroom, bathroom, study

The private half is the quietest and most masculine: dark stone, burl walnut and brass, a muted warm light.

06 — Warm light

When the house becomes a stage

In the evening the warm 2700K light gathers in pools of darkness: the fire burns, onyx and the collection glow, brass and bronze warm up — the house sounds like an atmospheric stage.
