Alpine stone is easy to recognise by touch. Millions of years of pressure packed it so dense that a terrace step takes frost, water and a century of footsteps without losing its face. In the sun the surface plays silver; after rain it darkens into deep graphite — the house lives with the weather instead of hiding from it.
Each breed has its temperament. Valser quartzite lays courses of silver-grey strata — walls, stairs and pool bowls that look grown rather than built. Austrian quartzite brings the green of a mountain lake into kitchens and bathrooms. Gneiss and Belgian blue limestone hold the calm, even tone architects love for facades and floors.

Silver-grey strata laid in courses: retaining walls, garden stairs, fountains and pool decks grow out of the terrain like rock outcrops. This stone is at its best outdoors — frost-proof, non-slip, gaining character with every rain.

Indoors the same stone turns quiet: full-height walls, stairs with hidden lighting, shower rooms and pool halls where dark strata meet still water. Stone interiors age into patina, not into repairs.

Stone begins in the mountain. Aerial benches of the quarry, crystal close-ups, veins and waves of gneiss — every slab is a one-off print of geology. We match the cut and the finish to the architecture: linear strata for facades, calm grey gneiss for floors and kitchens.
