Kitchens Elegant Baroque Style Kitchen
An FMF carved console bracket in the Baroque style: an acanthus leaf and a volute in hand-carved light wood.
The image is a detail of the carved decoration of a kitchen: a massive volute-shaped bracket with acanthus leaves, carved from light wood and finished in cream lacquer. Brackets of this kind support the cornice of the hood, and on the shelf beside the carving stand glass jars for dry goods and a copper pan with wooden spatulas.
The carving is executed in deep relief, with every curl of the leaf worked out, a characteristic device of kitchen furniture in the Baroque style or opulent classicism.
