Request a selectionAbout the factory
Gallo is a family lighting factory in Calenzano, near Florence, founded in 1910 and run by the fourth generation of the family. The Classic line is wrought iron, hand painting, and gold and silver leaf; the Contemporary line (since 2018) offers galvanic finishes in nickel, chrome, gold, copper and black ruthenium.
The Gallo catalogue runs to hundreds of models: chandeliers, wall lights, table lamps and floor lamps, ceiling lights, pendants, picture lights and candelabra. Dimensions and weight are given for every model, so a fitting can be built into the project with precision.
In classical houses we use Gallo for grand chandeliers and for series of wall lights in corridors and stair halls, and the Contemporary line in modern interiors that call for metal with character.
Finishes are agreed from the factory's samples; many models are made in several sizes.

Why through the studio
Selected by the studio
Out of hundreds of Italian factories we work with a few whose quality we have seen in our own houses. You do not compare — you choose.
Studio terms
Direct factory conditions instead of showroom retail. The saving on furnishing often covers the interior project.
One responsibility
Specification, order, factory control, delivery, customs and assembly on site — the studio, not you.
Gallo lighting in the studio's projects
Gallo is an Italian maker of decorative lighting from Calenzano (Florence), founded in 1910. The Classic line comprises chandeliers, wall lights, table lamps, floor lamps and candelabra in wrought iron with gold and silver leaf, Murano glass and crystal; the Contemporary line offers modern fittings with galvanic finishes.
In the studio's projects Gallo is the factory for classical houses: grand chandeliers for dining rooms and halls, series of wall lights along corridors and stairs, and picture lighting. The dimensions and weight of every model are known in advance, which matters when designing ceilings and fixings.
Ordering through the studio means factory terms, selection of finishes from samples, supervision of production, and delivery under a single responsibility.
Q&A
Are dimensions and weights available?
Yes. For every model the factory states the height, diameter and weight, and we build these figures into the design of the ceiling and fixings.
Can the finish be changed?
Yes. Classical models are made in several gilding and patina variants, and contemporary ones in several galvanic finishes.
