The majestic W020 Baroque chest of drawers by Zanaboni, inspired by the age of Versailles, is decorated with contrasting inlay on ebony and gilded details.
The classic W020 chest was created under the influence of French Baroque of the Versailles period. The model for its design was the work of the celebrated court cabinet-maker Aubertin Gaudreau, who worked at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. The piece is distinguished by strict proportions and intricate decoration characteristic of the palace interiors of that era.
The fronts are decorated with polychrome inlay of ebony, zinc, copper and brass. The contrasting pattern on the dark ground is complemented by gilded decorative elements. The piece is made by hand using old craft techniques, allowing the characteristic features of historic furniture to be reproduced faithfully.
