Dining tables Torsades 72
A dining table with an expressive base in smooth Murano glass and a round glass top with a facet.
The Torsades 72 dining table, created by the designer Maurice Barilone for Reflex, is an example of artistic work with glass. The central support is made of smooth Murano glass twisted into a spiral, which gives the structure dynamism and lightness. The clear top allows full attention to rest on the form of the base.
Murano glass in various colours is used for the leg: clear, green, ruby, tea or gold. The round glass top is finished around its perimeter with a neat facet that underlines the purity of the material.
The model fits naturally into a dining room in an Art Deco or neoclassical style. Thanks to the transparency of the materials the table does not overload the space, keeping a sense of air and light even in rooms of relatively small area where visual openness matters.

Studio noteThis piece is at home in a formal dining room, where it becomes the principal decorative accent. We would place it beneath a Venetian glass chandelier to bring out the play of light on the facets of the base.
