Context: Listen to the Site, Not Just Your Wishes

A house doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Good architecture always grows from the landscape, not fights against it. Before drawing layouts, we analyze the initial data:

• Sun Exposure and Cardinal Directions: Where does the sun rise? Where do you want to drink your morning coffee — in the rays of dawn or in shadow? We orient the house so that sunlight fills the living room while technical spaces are moved to “blind” zones.

• Terrain: Change in elevation — this isn’t a problem, it’s an opportunity for a unique scenario. Cantilever overhangs, terracing, integration of the house into a slope — this forms character.

• View Points: Where will panoramic windows look? At the forest or at the neighbor’s fence?

Studio Rule: We don’t level the site for a standard project. We create an individual project for the character of the site.

Forget about square meters. Think scenarios. Technical Specification (TS) isn’t a list of rooms (“bedroom 15m², kitchen 20m²”). It’s a description of your lifestyle.

On our first meeting we ask:

• How often do guests visit you? Do they need complete independence?

• Do you work from home? Do you need an office with separate soundproofing?

• Where do you spend 80% of your time?

The perfect house is zoned logically:

1. Public Zone: Spacious kitchen-living room, flowing into a terrace.

2. Master Zone: Bedroom, dressing room, bathroom — a unified block with no access for others.

3. Kids/Guest Zone: Remote blocks for comfortable coexistence of generations.

Architecture is the art of the possible. Designing “castles in the air” that can’t be realized — is unprofessional.

From the start you need a clear understanding of budget. A modern house with a flat roof, panoramic glazing and quality engineering systems requires appropriate investments.

• Less is more, but better. We always advise reducing the area, but investing in material quality and key nodes.
