Chairs S/4200 & P/4200

The classic S/4200 chairs and P/4200 armchairs by Zanaboni are upholstered in hand-pleated velvet and set on hand-painted legs.

The series includes the armless S/4200 chair and the P/4200 carver with arms. Both are notable for their elaborate textile work: the back and seat are upholstered in soft velvet, laid by hand into fine pleats that play with light and shadow on the fabric.

Particular attention is given to the legs. The wooden supports are hand-painted to imitate rosewood, with gilding and an ivory-toned patina. This gives the chairs a finished look and allows them to be paired with more intricate classical furniture.

The chairs are designed to complete dining sets in formal dining rooms. They pair well with the T/4200 table and B/4200 display cabinet from the same range, forming a coherent ensemble in a single style, with the P/4200 armchairs usually placed at the head of the table.

Studio noteThis piece suits a formal dining room. We would place the S/4200 chairs along the long sides of the table and the P/4200 armchairs at its ends.
